Stuart’s background is in Research, International Sales Management, Strategy Formulation and Business Development in large multinational and small companies in speciality chemical sectors in the UK and overseas. Made transition to the small company world in 2002 on joining a University of Oxford start-up heading up a new business initiative. Since 2007 involved as an external consultant in a number of client initiated, new business and acquisition projects in various market sectors. Most recently working more closely with newly established small businesses and start-ups as a consultant and Director. Client projects have included business start-up, technology evaluation, development planning, commercial implementation and business acquisition.
Kevin started his career developing systems on ICL mainframe computers in the late 1970s. From there he has worked his way through analysis, project management and senior IT management before opting to to become an independent consultant. He has spent many years working in software houses and often found himself on client sites developing key systems against tight deadlines. His first project management role was in the city delivering a gilt dealing system in time for the ‘big bang’ in 1987. From there he worked for Whitbread where he implemented distribution systems, his major achievement though was a system for Thresher which saw central control over pricing introduced with branch tills managed from head office and sales data collected for immediate analysis. Over recent years the emphasis has moved away from pure IT projects and focused more on business change with the move offshore to Singapore of a complete print and distribution operation. Kevin’s years of experience makes him an asset when working with global projects and bringing change to disparate cultures.
